Discovering Lake Gaston

With more than 350 miles of shoreline and about 21,000 acres of water, Lake Gaston is a mecca for water sports enthusiasts!  Water skiing, wake surfing, wake boarding, fishing, sailing, canoeing, and a host of other activities are right at your fingertips in this incredible vacation paradise

After an enjoyable day on the water, Lake Gaston has a lot to offer both onshore and off – waterfront dining, cultural events, live local entertainment, public and private golfing facilities, and a host of other activities.   Annual events include the Lion’s Club Seafood Festival in early October each year, the Lake Gaston Chamber of Commerce’s Battle of the Barbeque during Memorial Day weekend, the Holiday Boat Parade during the Christmas holidays, and an absolutely incredible Independence Day celebration at the north end of Pea Hill Creek!

As a local business, SouthPointe Marina keeps a finger on the pulse of Lake Gaston, paying special attention to both visitors and residents to make sure that any information you may need about Lake Gaston can be provided on the spot!  We think it’s an important part of delivering excellence in customer service – being a valuable resource for you as both as marina and as a community partner.
